Do you REMEMBER that FIRST thing you ever WISHED for when you were a CHILD?

When I was a Child, in the Late fortys I remember that it was during Christmas, a Year when there was no Money, and Work was scarce, so, my Dad, went to an empty Lot that had a lot of weeds and picked one of small Wild tree that grew there,cut it and brought it over so my Mom would decorate it with popcorn, and some decorations we, Painted with crayons, no lights since back than there was no Electricity. During Christmas eve, my dad sent us to sleep as he said if you do not go to sleep Santa will not leave anything for us, and would bypass our House and the present he had for us, Children, would be given to someone else. In the Morning when we woke up, I saw some rag Dolls with dresses and Shoes to match, for each of us, we were Five girls,and five Dollies all the same color . But to us it was the best Dolly we had ever had, when I think of those Golden days i always have it engraved In my Heart, because when you do not have a lot to eat, or any Money to buy the necessities, that present was like Gold to us Girls. So, what I had wished for came true, since I had always wanted a dolly to be my Companion, to tell her my Secrets. I still have that precious Dolly, and I have not let my Girls play with it when they were Little. I think that when you have everything you wanted out of Life, this Story would make you Laugh, because if you had not suffered, during your growing up Years, what you have now, you take for Granted. I have always given thanks to the Lord for everything I have, but I always remember back than, when I was Young. That makes me appreciate Life. Thanks for your Question.
